It's been quite literally years since I've wandered back to deviantArt. It's amazing how the time flies.
When I got into deviantArt many many years ago, I was as passionate as could be about making animations and trying to become the next big thing. Of course, I never quite got there, but I'm perfectly fine with that. The adventures I had along the way and the people I met made it all worth it, and then some. As they say, I have no regrets. Not even finishing WaveMaster, as some people continue to taunt me with to this day.
Regardless, I'm here to make a brief announcement to any of my followers who are still out there and to anyone else who stumbles upon this page somehow: I think it's time to close this chapter of my book.
Within the past few years, I've lost Flash due to a broken hard drive and realized that perhaps my passions no longer lie in Flash, but in writing. I've already written a book (not yet published, sorry!) and have plenty of ideas for future tales to tell. I don't think I'd be anywhere near where I am today without deviantArt's huge imprint on my life. This site and the community as a whole helped me foster a creative side I did not know that I had, and now that it has been unleashed, I don't think it'll ever stop.
I just wanted to let you all know that I am still very much alive, and to officially say that I'm dropping off of deviantArt for a time. I've got plenty of adventures ahead of me in the future! I'll leave this profile as it is, for the most part, as a little tribute to the past. I always think it's fun to look back at it and realize how much I've grown over the years.
In the meantime, I'll still be very much around. If you want to get in contact with me, you have your variety of methods; a simple Google search of "Colin Halbmaier" should come up with plenty of results. Otherwise, I'd say the fastest means would be through Twitter, @TheColinnn.
Until then, Deviants! Thanks again for everything you've done for me!
